At Teach-A-Tot we celebrate Easter by inviting families along to watch our Easter Hat Parades! Children create their own hats at preschool and march around the playground to music, showing their hats off so proudly. We also have a big Easter egg hunt!

We value inclusion of all cultures at Teach-A-Tot. This year we had a wonderful time celebrating Holi together. There were smiles all around as children and educators threw coloured powder and water balloons at each other.

On Monday 5th of December we celebrated our children leaving for school with a Graduation Party. It was a huge event for our little centre, with over 130 people in attendance! It was great to see so many people supporting the children. We are so proud of our school leavers and wish them all the best at big school next year!

The children and educators at Teach-A-Tot are excited to welcome our new pet fish. Fish was given the name “Fish” by the children themselves. Fish and her two snail buddies have settled in well to their new home. Children will be involved in helping to care for Fish by feeding her and topping up her water. (EYLF 2.4)

Warami!
We at Teach-A-Tot thank the Darug People, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we learn, and pay our respects to their Elders, both past, present and future.
This week children at Teach-A-Tot engaged in a number of experiences in recognition of National Reconciliation Week, celebrating the cultures and traditions of Australia’s First People.
The children:
– Made music with clapsticks.
– Recreated the Aboriginal flag with peg boards.
– Used leaves and sticks to create art with an ochre palette.
– Dressed up in our beautiful new Aboriginal art capes.
– Enjoyed a variety of Dreaming Stories.
– Painted Warnayarra the Rainbow Snake.
– Used natural coloured playdough to create Australian Animals.
– Engaged in dramatic play with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dolls.
– Learned about humpies and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of living.
